This property is set in the middle of Lewes, the county town of East Sussex.
The house is approximately 300 years old and was originally a slaughterhouse.
The building is a Grade II listed and in a conservation area.
This build came with its own unique problems from the very limited access and storage facilities to the cutting and painting black of nearly 3000 bricks. The internal walls and roof were constructed using SIPS panels which consist of two skins of external ply with insulation between. Once they are on site they are then fixed together from pre-measured plans in very quick time and then the brick facework is built in front of the SIPS panels with a conventional 100mm cavity and tied together.
